The best Holi gifts for employees are things people can wear and use on the day. That means a white cotton tee printed with your logo, a cap and tote to manage the colour mess, and a box of treats to share or take home. This guide covers how to print the tees, which extras suit a colour-filled afternoon, how gourmet add-ons ship, how to keep play inclusive, what to send clients, and when to order for Holi on Monday 22 March 2027.

Holi Gifts for Employees: Celebration Kit or Take-Home Gift?

Before you pick a single product, decide which of two jobs the budget is doing. Holi at work usually needs a celebration kit, which people wear and use on the day. It may also need a take-home gift, which lasts after the colour has washed off.

In 2027, Holi falls on a Monday. Many offices are likely to hold their celebration on the last working day before it, Friday 19 March, while some teams will celebrate after the festival instead. Either way, the kit has to be in employees' hands before the party starts.

- Celebration kit: a white tee, a cap and a tote. These are worn or carried on the day and are expected to get colour on them.

- Take-home gift: a mug, chocolates or nuts, and a greeting card. These stay clean and go home with people.

- Both together: a pack that combines a tee with treats. This suits teams that want one handover rather than two.

Once you know which of these you are buying, you can set the per-head budget and the delivery date, and decide whether remote staff need anything at all.

The White Holi T-Shirt: DTF Printing and Logo Placement

The white tee is the unofficial Holi uniform. Colour shows up vividly on it, the group photos look coordinated, and people keep it as a souvenir of the day. Our Round Neck Cotton T-Shirt - 180 GSM is the natural choice: a mid-weight cotton tee that holds up to an afternoon of play and goes home afterwards. Mention white when you request a quote so we can confirm availability in your size mix.

All our apparel is branded with DTF printing. In DTF, your artwork is printed onto a film and heat-pressed onto the fabric. It handles multicolour logos and fine detail well, so a Holi-themed version of your logo is straightforward. Embroidery and screen printing are currently paused, so DTF is the method for every tee, cap and bag in this guide.

Where to place the logo on a Holi tee

- Left chest: a small logo stays recognisable even when the rest of the shirt is covered in colour.

- Full back: a larger print with the company or team name, or a line such as Holi 2027, makes the group photo work.

- Keep the front mostly white: the colour becomes the design, so resist filling every panel.

You can upload your logo to Mockup Studio to see how both placements look before you commit. A digital mockup is also approved before production on every order.

Colour-Proof Extras: Branded Caps and Cotton Totes

Colour-proof here means the item protects people and their belongings. It does not mean the item itself will not stain. Two low-cost extras do most of the work.

The Premium Cotton Cap keeps colour out of hair and the March sun off faces during an outdoor or terrace celebration. The logo goes on the front panel with DTF, so the cap matches the tee in photos. It also gets worn long after Holi, which a single-use party item never does.

The Cotton Cloth Tote Bag solves a practical problem. People need somewhere to keep a change of clothes, a towel, their phone and keys while they play. Hand totes out a day before so employees can pack them at home. After the festival, the tote washes and becomes a grocery bag, which makes it one of the more sustainable picks in the kit. Holi Treats and Sweets: How Gourmet Add-Ons Ship

No Holi is complete without something sweet. For a branded take-home gift, shelf-stable treats travel better than fresh mithai. Exotic Choco Nuts – 250gm feels festive and generous. Ferrero Rocher Chocolate is a familiar, well-liked add-on that fits alongside almost anything. You can see the full range in our Gourmet section.

Three rules are worth knowing before you plan the budget:

- Gourmet items are add-ons. They ship only together with at least one other product, such as a tee, cap or mug. You cannot order a carton of chocolates on its own.

- No bulk discount on gourmet. The volume discounts that apply to most products do not apply to food items.

- Packaging is an add-on too. A magnetic gift box or mailer can be added to a kit but is not sold by itself.

If your team wants traditional gujiya or thandai on the day, many offices order these fresh from a local sweet shop. The branded treats then become the take-home part of the gift.

Ready-Made Holi Gift Hampers: Sweet Surprises Pack and Company Culture Pack

If you would rather not assemble a kit item by item, two existing packs work well as a corporate Holi gift hamper.

The Sweet Surprises Pack combines the round neck tee with a natural jute bag, premium dry fruits, Ferrero Rocher, Exotic Choco Nuts and a greeting card. It is effectively a Holi celebration kit and take-home treat in one handover.

The Company Culture Pack includes a round neck tee, cotton tote, steel bottle, white mug, cotton cap and notepad in a magnetic box. It covers the whole wear-it-on-the-day list. Add Ferrero Rocher if you want a treat inside.

For something different, start from our preset packs or put together your own combination with Build Your Box. Our festive gifting hub has more seasonal ideas if Holi is one of several occasions on your calendar this financial year.

Holi Gift Budgets per Employee

Prices on our site include standard logo branding and exclude GST. Every order comes with a GST invoice. As a rough guide:

- Under ₹500: the white tee on its own, or the cap and tote as a pair. See more ideas on our gifts under ₹500 page.

- ₹500–₹1,000: tee, cap and tote together, which covers the full celebration kit.

- ₹1,000–₹2,000: the Sweet Surprises Pack or the Company Culture Pack, which add treats or a take-home mug and bottle.

Most products carry bulk discounts of 3 % at 25+ units, 5 % at 50+, 7 % at 100+ and 10 % at 200+. Packs are priced item by item, and gourmet items carry no bulk discount, so your quote will show exactly how the discount applies to your kit.

Inclusive Holi Office Celebrations: Opt-In Play and Safe Colours

Not everyone wants to play with colour. The reasons include faith, skin conditions, asthma, contact lenses, pregnancy, or simply preferring to stay clean. A good Holi office celebration makes playing a choice, not a default.

- Make play opt-in. Agree a simple signal, such as a badge or wristband, for people who are happy to be coloured. Leave everyone else alone.

- Create a dry zone. Set up a space with snacks, music and a tilak-only option for people who want to join without the mess.

- Set ground rules. Ask before applying colour, keep it away from eyes and faces, and skip water balloons and wet colour indoors.

- Protect equipment. Move laptops, keep the play area away from desks, and lay down sheets where you can.

- Gift everyone equally. The tee, cap and treats go to every employee, including those who do not play and those working remotely.

A word on safe colours

Printing Labs does not supply gulal or Holi colours. If you are buying them, check the supplier carefully. A peer-reviewed study from Kolkata, indexed on PubMed, found that synthetic Holi colours are sold as herbal colours, in an unregulated manner, in local markets. It also reported that market colours often contain hazardous substances, including heavy metals such as lead. A herbal label alone is no assurance.

Holi Gifts for Clients: Keep It Dry and Simple

Clients will not be playing at your office, so a Holi tee rarely makes sense for them unless the relationship is unusually close. Keep client Holi gifts dry, clean and desk-friendly.

The Colored Coffee Mug A++ Grade is a cheerful fit for the festival of colours. Your logo is applied by sublimation, so full-colour artwork reproduces well. Pair it with Exotic Choco Nuts or Ferrero Rocher and a greeting card, and pack it in a magnetic box for a neat unboxing. Time client gifts to arrive before Holi, not after it. Timeline for Holi 2027: Ordering Back from 22 March

Rangwali Holi falls on Monday 22 March 2027. Calendars such as Awareness Days and Divine Hindu place Holika Dahan on the evening of Sunday 21 March. Panchangs do differ, though, and Samvat.in lists Holika Dahan on 22 March. Check your local calendar before fixing the office party date. For most teams, the practical deadline is having kits delivered by about Wednesday 17 March, ahead of a Friday 19 March celebration.

Work backwards from that date:

- Early February: confirm headcount, collect T-shirt sizes and finalise artwork.

- Mockup approval: production takes 7–10 business days after you approve the digital mockup.

- Delivery: allow 2–4 business days by air or 5–9 business days by surface, depending on the destination.

- For surface delivery: approve the mockup by around 18 February.

- For air delivery: approve the mockup by around 25 February.

- Distribution: keep a day or two to unpack and hand out kits, and plan early how remote employees will receive theirs. Ask us about delivery options for distributed teams.

If you are reading this in late February, do not give up. Express production is available on selected items, so ask us what can still make it. The quickest way to start is to upload your logo to Mockup Studio to preview your Holi tee, then request a quote with your headcount and size split. You can also download the catalogue to share options with your team.

Frequently asked questions

Will the logo print on a Holi tee survive colours and washing?

Our tees are printed with DTF, which is designed for repeated washing. DTF suppliers claim up to 50–100 wash cycles for a well-applied print. We cannot promise the print resists gulal, and the cotton around the print will usually pick up colour. Rinse in cold water, wash inside out and avoid ironing on the print.

Can we get printed tees in time for Holi on 22 March 2027?

Yes, if you plan back from your celebration date. Production takes 7–10 business days after mockup approval, plus 2–4 business days by air or 5–9 by surface. Approving the mockup by mid to late February is the safe window. If you are later than that, ask us about express on selected items.

Can we order chocolates or sweets on their own?

No. Gourmet items such as Ferrero Rocher and Exotic Choco Nuts ship only together with at least one other product, such as a tee, cap or mug. Gourmet items also do not carry a bulk discount.

Does Printing Labs supply Holi colours or gulal?

No, we do not supply colours. We brand wearable and usable products such as tees, caps, totes and mugs. If you buy colours separately, check the supplier carefully. A Kolkata study found that colours sold as herbal often are not, so the label alone is not a reliable guarantee.
