New Year Corporate Gifts 2027: Desk-Ready Picks for Employees and Clients
January gifts work best when they get used all year. Branded diaries, pens, desk organisers and packs for employees and clients, plus when to order for 1 January 2027.

The best New Year corporate gifts reach a desk in the first week of January and stay in use until December. Think of a diary, a pen worth keeping, or a desk organiser with a clock and calendar. This guide covers what to send employees and what to send clients, which branding method suits each item, sensible budget bands, and the order dates to work back from for 1 January 2027, which falls on a Friday straight after the Christmas weekend.
Why January gifts get used longer than festival gifts
We have no survey that proves this, so read it as reasoning rather than data. A Diwali gift arrives alongside sweets, hampers and a dozen other boxes. Much of that is eaten, shared or put away within weeks. A gift that arrives in early January lands when people are starting new notebooks, setting quarterly targets and planning the year.
Timing matters for Indian teams too. January opens the last quarter of the financial year, with year-end targets, budget planning and the run-up to appraisal season. A diary or desk organiser handed over now has twelve months of daily use ahead of it. That is twelve months of your logo sitting on a desk.
There is also less noise. A January gift comes after the October–November festive rush, so it is less likely to land in a pile of other boxes and has a better chance of being noticed and kept.
Employees vs clients: same moment, different gift
The occasion is the same for both groups, but the brief is different.
For employees, think practical, uniform and easy to scale:
- One design for everyone, including remote staff and new joiners
- Items people use daily at a desk or on calls
- Per-head budgets usually under ₹500 or under ₹1,000
- A short, warm note from leadership or the team lead
For clients, think fewer units with more finish:
- Better materials (wood, metal, a rigid box) over more items
- A restrained logo, since the gift is about them and not your brand
- A personal, signed message card
- A check on gift policy first, because many companies cap gift values or don't accept gifts at all
Be especially careful with public-sector and government clients, where the rules are stricter. Ask your point of contact before you ship. Clients who run on a calendar year, such as multinationals and their Indian offices, are a particularly good fit for January gifting because their planning cycle restarts now. Our guide to corporate gifts for clients in India, listed under related reading below, covers client occasions in more detail.
The desk-reset category: diaries, notebooks and pens
Stationery is the core of a New Year gift because it lines up with the moment. People are opening fresh pages and writing plans. You can browse the full range in Office & Stationery. The three items below do most of the work.
Diaries and notebooks: laser on wood vs DTF on soft cover
The Wooden Texture Diary is the natural headline gift. Its wood-finish cover takes laser engraving, which etches your logo into the surface in a single tone. The effect is understated and premium, and it suits client lists as well as senior employees. It is also part of our eco range.
Product Card: Wooden Texture Diary
One honest caveat: we call it a diary for 2027 rather than a dated 2027 diary. Check the page format on the product listing, or ask us, before your message card says "your 2027 planner". If the pages turn out to be undated, that has a practical upside. Someone who joins in March can use the diary just as well as someone who received it on 2 January.
The Classic Soft Cover Notebook is the lighter, lower-cost option. It is branded with DTF printing, which transfers your logo in full colour. That makes it the better choice if your logo depends on colour gradients or several brand colours that laser engraving can't show. It works well for large employee orders where per-head cost matters.
Desk organisers with clock and calendar
Printed wall calendars are the traditional New Year gift, but they are not in our catalogue. What we do offer is a desk piece that fills the same role and lasts longer: the Wooden Desk Organizer with Clock and Calendar.
It holds pens and small stationery, shows the time, and keeps a calendar in view all day on the desk. Your logo is laser-engraved on the wood. It is part of the eco range and looks equally at home on a manager's desk or a client's reception counter.

Before you write the message card, confirm how the calendar works on the product page, or ask us. If it is a turn-by-hand perpetual format, you can honestly say the gift doesn't expire when 2027 ends. That is a nice point to make to a client.
New Year gift budgets: under ₹500, under ₹1,000 and ₹1,000–₹2,000
All our listed prices include standard logo branding and exclude GST. Here is how the New Year range maps to common per-head budgets at today's catalogue prices. The product cards always show the live price.
- Under ₹500: any single hero item. That could be the wooden diary, the soft cover notebook, the executive pen, the desk organiser or the Pen & A5 set. This band suits whole-company employee gifting.
- Under ₹1,000: a trio of the wooden diary, the executive pen and the desk organiser still fits within ₹1,000 before GST. It is a coordinated wood-and-metal desk set at a sensible per-head cost. More ideas at corporate gifts under ₹1,000.
- ₹1,000–₹2,000: ready desk packs such as the Desk Essential Gift Set and the Desk Delight Pack, both covered below.
Volume brings the per-unit cost down. On most products, bulk discounts are 3% at 25+ units, 5% at 50+, 7% at 100+ and 10% at 200+. Gourmet items carry no bulk discount. Our post on bulk corporate gift pricing, linked under related reading, explains how branding and shipping add up.
An executive tier for client lists
For key accounts, a complete desk kit says more than a single item. The Desk Delight Pack combines a metal mobile stand, an insulated bottle, a soft cover notebook, a coffee mug, a touch pen, a PU leather keychain, a sticky-note desk cube and a mouse pad. It all arrives in a magnetic box, so it is ready to hand over.
Product Card: Desk Delight Pack
The Desk Essential Gift Set is a tighter selection. It pairs a steel bottle and tumbler with a notepad, a mobile stand and a mouse pad in the same magnetic box. It suits client teams where you are sending to several people at one company.
Packs are priced item by item, so you can swap pieces to fit your budget. For a fully custom client set, use Build Your Box. Put the wooden diary, the executive pen and the desk organiser inside a Premium Packaging Card Board Magnetic Box, which is branded with a sticker. Packaging is an add-on and is sold only together with at least one other product, which a desk set naturally covers. You can browse other ready kits on our preset packs page.
Ordering for 1 January 2027: work back from production and delivery
This is where most New Year gifting goes wrong. Here are the fixed numbers:
- Production: 7–10 business days after you approve the digital mockup
- Delivery: 2–4 business days by air, 5–9 business days by surface
- Express: available only on selected items, so ask us before you count on it
Now the calendar. Friday 25 December 2026 is Christmas, followed by the weekend of 26–27 December. Friday 1 January 2027 is New Year's Day. Many offices may be thinly staffed that day even where it isn't a public holiday. We recommend aiming for delivery between 29 and 31 December, or in the first working week of 4–8 January, rather than on 1 January itself.
These worked examples use our own weekday-only arithmetic, count the maximum production time, and treat 25 December as a non-working day. They are planning guides, not courier commitments:
- Air delivery by Wednesday 30 December: dispatch by about Wednesday 23 December, which means approving your mockup by about Wednesday 9 December.
- Surface delivery by Thursday 31 December: dispatch by about Thursday 17 December, which means approving your mockup by about Thursday 3 December.
- Delivery in the week of 4–8 January: this pushes each deadline later by roughly a week and gives you more buffer around the Christmas-week slowdown.
Two more things to plan for.
Message cards that don't read like spam
A good card turns a branded object into a gesture. The Greeting Card - 4"X6" is digitally printed, so every card in the batch can carry your own design and message.
For message cards that people actually read:
- Use a name. "Dear Priya" beats "Dear Valued Partner" every time.
- Refer to something real. For example: "Thank you for getting the Pune rollout over the line in November."
- Keep it to three lines. Thank them, wish them well for 2027, and sign off.
- Have a person sign it. That could be a founder, an account manager or a team lead, not "Team XYZ".
- Leave out the sales pitch. No offers, no links, no "let's connect for Q1".
For employees, one line tying the gift to the year ahead works well. For example: "A fresh diary for a big year. Thank you for everything in 2026."
How to place your New Year corporate gift order with Printing Labs
Here is the process from shortlist to delivery:
1. Shortlist items from Office & Stationery or the ready desk packs.
2. Upload your logo in Mockup Studio to see it on the diary, pen or organiser.
3. Send us your quantities, budget per head and delivery locations for a quote.
4. Approve the digital mockup we send. Production starts from that approval.
5. Receive your gifts with a GST invoice on the order.
If you want gifts on desks before the year turns, early December is your real deadline. Try your logo in Mockup Studio today, or request a quote with your recipient list and per-head budget.
Frequently asked questions
When should we order New Year gifts to arrive by 1 January 2027?
Work back from the mockup approval date. Production takes 7–10 business days after approval, and delivery takes 2–4 business days by air or 5–9 by surface. By our weekday-only arithmetic, aim to approve your mockup by about 3 December for surface delivery or about 9 December for air. Ask us about express on selected items.
Is the Wooden Texture Diary dated for 2027?
We describe it as a diary for 2027 rather than a dated 2027 diary. Check the page format on the product listing, or ask us before you mention printed dates in your messaging. If the pages are undated, the diary stays useful for anyone who receives it later in the year.
What quantities do you handle for New Year gifting?
We handle orders from 25 units to 1,000+ units. On most products, bulk discounts start at 25 units (3%) and rise to 10% at 200+. If you need a smaller run for a short client list, ask us.
Laser engraving or DTF printing: which should we choose?
The method depends on the product, not your preference. Wood and metal items such as the wooden diary, the executive pen and the desk organiser are laser-engraved, which gives an etched, single-tone mark. The soft cover notebook uses DTF printing, which reproduces your logo in full colour.
Can we add a personalised message card?
Yes.
