The festive window is also busier than the single Diwali date suggests. Navratri, Dussehra, a national holiday and the Diwali festival days themselves all fall inside the period when your gifts are being produced and shipped.

Delivery window

The production clock starts only when the digital mockup is approved. Approval is rarely one email. Brand, HR and sometimes finance all want a look. - Surface delivery: 9 business days of transit means dispatch by about Wednesday 13 October. Ten business days of production before that means artwork approval by about Wednesday 29 September.

- Air delivery: 4 business days of transit means dispatch by about Wednesday 20 October. Ten business days of production means approval by about Wednesday 6 October.

These are the latest workable dates, with no festive buffer. Festive-season courier delays happen, addresses bounce, and someone always asks to change the card message. We recommend approving one to two weeks earlier. That puts sign-off around mid-September for surface and late September for air, just before Navratri begins.

A Week-by-Week Diwali 2027 Gifting Plan From July

You do not need every week below to be busy. You need each decision made before the next one depends on it.

- July, weeks 1–2: Fix the budget per head for employees and, separately, for clients. Confirm the headcount, including new joiners expected by October from campus or lateral hiring.

Not every company needs gifts on the same day. Choose the target that matches how your team actually celebrates.

What Slows Diwali Orders Down: Sizes, Addresses and Sign-Offs

The product itself is rarely what makes a Diwali order slip. The admin around it usually is. Watch for these:

- Apparel sizes. A polo or hoodie needs a size for every recipient, and chasing the last few responses can take a week. Set a deadline, and decide in advance what size the non-responders get.

- Incomplete addresses. Missing pincodes, old flat numbers and no phone number all cause failed deliveries in the busiest weeks. Collect addresses through a form with mandatory fields, not a group chat.

- Multiple sign-offs. If brand, HR and finance each approve separately, run them in parallel on the same mockup rather than one after another.

- Late headcount changes. Order a small surplus for new joiners rather than reopening the order.

- The Dussehra weekend. It sits inside the production and dispatch window. Any courier pause or office closure around 9–10 October eats into time you thought you had.

- State bank holidays. These can delay payments and some deliveries in particular states. Check your state lists early.
