Custom Hoodies & Sweatshirts with Company Logo: A Winter Buyer's Guide for Indian Teams

How to order custom hoodies and sweatshirts with your logo: fit, DTF placement, house label vs premium brand, sizing, bulk tiers, GST and winter timelines.

Custom hoodies with logo work best as a two-tier order. Give a house-label hoodie or sweatshirt to the whole team and a premium brand to leadership or key clients, with sizes and mockups locked by mid-November for December events. This guide covers which garment suits Delhi winters versus air-conditioned Bengaluru offices, DTF logo placement, sizing, bulk tiers, GST and timelines.

Hoodie or sweatshirt: which one your team will actually wear

Both are warm winter layers, but people wear them in different places. Picking the wrong one for your team is an easy way to end up with branded winterwear that stays in the cupboard.

A hoodie has a hood and usually a front kangaroo pocket. It reads casual and outdoorsy, so it suits offsites, early-morning commutes, new joiners and engineering or creative teams. It is less suited to a client meeting.

A sweatshirt is a crew-neck pullover with a cleaner silhouette. It layers over a collared shirt and looks at home at a desk. That makes it the safer pick for sales, finance and client-facing teams, or anywhere the dress code leans smart-casual.

A quick way to decide:

- Pick hoodies for outdoor offsites, sports days, hackathons, young teams and offices in colder cities.

- Pick sweatshirts for office wear, mixed-age teams, client-facing roles and air-conditioned workplaces.

- Offer both when your team is spread across regions, and let people choose in the size form (more on that below).

Our house-label Premium Cotton Hoodie and Premium Cotton Sweatshirt are the two workhorses for team-wide orders. Both sit in the under ₹1,000 band with standard logo branding included.

Where custom hoodies make sense in India

Winter gifting in India is not only about Diwali. Some of the best moments for branded winterwear come in the quarter after it:

- Year-end offsites in December and January, especially trips to the hills.

- Winter onboarding batches and new-year joiners.

- Annual days, sports days and town halls, where a matching layer makes for good team photos.

- Year-end thank-yous for teams that closed a big quarter.

- New-year client gifting, where a premium-brand hoodie replaces the usual diary.

North Indian winters vs air-conditioned offices in the south

In Delhi NCR, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Lucknow, December and January are genuinely cold. A hoodie there gets worn outdoors, on the commute and at home, which means more visibility for your logo.

Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune and Chennai have milder winters, but many offices run cold air-conditioning all year. A sweatshirt worn at the desk is often the more useful gift there. Mumbai barely has a winter, so a sweatshirt for office and travel usually makes more sense than a hoodie.

For a distributed team, one style rarely suits everyone. Splitting the order by city, or letting employees choose, usually works better than forcing a single style.

Branding a hoodie with DTF: placement, size and colour

We brand hoodies, sweatshirts and caps with DTF (direct-to-film) printing. Your artwork is printed onto a film and heat-pressed onto the fabric. DTF handles full-colour logos, gradients and fine text, and it works on both dark and light garments, which suits most corporate logos. Our printing types page explains how DTF compares with the other methods we use across the catalogue.

Placement options on hoodies and sweatshirts

- Left chest: small and subtle. This is the placement people are most comfortable wearing every day.

- Centre chest: larger and more visible, good for events. On a hoodie, keep it above the kangaroo pocket so the print doesn't sit across the pocket seam.

- Back: good for an offsite name, team slogan or year. Plan this on the house-label range (see the premium tier below).

- Sleeve: a small secondary mark, such as a team name or "2026".

Keep it to one or two placements. A modest left-chest logo with an optional back print tends to get worn more than a hoodie covered in branding.

Colour: choose the garment first, then the logo version

Decide the garment colour before you finalise artwork. On navy, black or charcoal, a white or reversed version of your logo usually looks cleaner than the full-colour version. On grey or light shades, your standard colour logo generally reads well.

The easiest way to judge this is to see it.

House label vs premium brand tier

Most buyers end up with a two-tier plan. One garment goes to everyone, and a more premium piece goes to a smaller group.

House label (our Premium Cotton Hoodie and Sweatshirt):

- Sits in the under ₹1,000 band, so it scales comfortably to a few hundred or a thousand units.

- Gives you the most placement freedom, including back prints.

- Suits team-wide gifting, onboarding, offsites and events.

Premium brand (Rare Rabbit Premium Cotton Hoodie):

- Sits in the ₹1,000–₹2,000 band. The brand name itself carries recognition.

- Suits leadership teams, top performers, long-service milestones and key clients.

- Expect a smaller, chest-led logo. According to Printo's listing for this hoodie, the front print area is about 4 x 4 inches, so plan any large back print on the house label instead.

- Reseller listings describe the fabric blend differently. Ask us to confirm the composition, colours and sizes for your batch before you write the gift note.

- Minimums and discount tiers on brand-tier items can differ from our standard ones, so confirm them at quote stage.

A common split is house-label hoodies for the whole company and premium-brand hoodies for the leadership group. Brand both with the same left-chest logo so the set looks consistent.

Sizing a hoodie order: the size-collection form and buffer

Sizing is one of the easiest places for a winterwear order to go wrong. A tee that runs a little big is fine, but a hoodie that is too short or tight in the shoulders won't get worn. A simple process avoids most of the pain.

1. Share the size chart first. Ask us for the chest-width and length chart for the exact SKU and send it to your team. Ask people to measure a hoodie they already own rather than guess their usual size, and check whether the chart shows a unisex or regular fit.

2. Run a size-collection form. Collect name, size, style (hoodie or sweatshirt, if you are offering both), office location and delivery address for remote staff.

3. Set a deadline and a default. Give a short window, and use a sensible default size for anyone who doesn't reply.

4. Add a small buffer. Order a few extra pieces in your most-requested sizes to cover late joiners, exchanges and the inevitable "I picked the wrong size" messages.

5. Ask about name-wise packing if kits are going to different locations, so each office can hand them out quickly.

If you hire through the year, a company brand store lets new joiners order their own size later, so you don't have to store spares.

Pricing mechanics: bulk tiers at 25, 50, 100 and 200+

Every listed price on Printing Labs includes standard logo branding and excludes GST, so the number on the product page is the real per-piece base. On top of that, most products, including our house-label hoodies and sweatshirts, carry quantity discounts:

- 3% at 25+ pieces

- 5% at 50+ pieces

- 7% at 100+ pieces

- 10% at 200+ pieces

The tiers create a few practical decisions. Say you are at 180 hoodies with a hiring batch due in the new year: ordering 200 now puts the whole order in the 10% tier. If you are splitting between hoodies and sweatshirts, ask us how the split affects your tier before you finalise.

Packs are priced item by item, so your quote lists each component separately. Gourmet items such as dry fruits carry no bulk discount. Our guide to bulk corporate gift pricing walks through how quantities, branding and shipping add up across a full order.

GST on hoodies and sweatshirts

According to TheMunim's explainer on GST for clothing, garments priced up to ₹2,500 per piece attract 5% GST from 22 September 2025. Earlier, 5% applied only below ₹1,000. Garments above ₹2,500 attract 18%.

The same explainer notes two further points. The rates cover knitted garments under HSN 61, which includes hoodies and sweatshirts. Each piece is also taxed on its own value, even when several are on one bill. Confirm the rate against the current CBIC notification or with your CA.

Hoodie-led kits and festive packs

A hoodie on its own is a good gift. A hoodie in a kit feels like an occasion. Three ready-made packs are built around winterwear.

The Goodie Hoodie Swag Pack pairs the Premium Cotton Hoodie with a steel water bottle, a coffee mug, a jute bag and a spiral notepad. There's no food in it, so it works any time of year as a welcome or team kit, and it fits winter onboarding batches naturally.

The Winter Festive Pack is the year-end thank-you option. It brings together the hoodie, an insulated bottle, a double-wall tumbler, a scented candle and dry fruits in a magnetic gift box with a greeting card. It suits north Indian teams heading into the coldest weeks.

The Cozy Comfort Pack is sweatshirt-led, for offices in the south or wherever a desk-friendly layer makes more sense. It adds a thermos flask, notebook, touch pen, candle, chocolates, dry fruits and a jute bag.

You can browse all ready kits on our preset packs page, or build your own offsite kit with Build Your Box. For a hill-station offsite, a simple trio works well: a hoodie, a Premium Cotton Cap and a Coffee Travel Double-Wall Thermos Flask. The cap is DTF-printed to match the hoodie, and the flask takes a laser or UV logo.

Candles, gourmet items and gift packaging are add-ons.

Turnaround for winter offsites and year-end events

Winterwear orders cluster in November and December, so plan backwards from your event date. A realistic timeline:

1. Size collection: allow about a week for your form, follow-ups and defaults.

2. Mockup approval: we share a digital mockup, and production starts once you approve it. Quick feedback here saves days.

3. Production: 7–10 business days after mockup approval.

4. Delivery: 2–4 business days by air or 5–9 business days by surface, anywhere in India.

Add it up, and a mid-December offsite needs sizes in and the mockup approved by around mid-November. Anything later gets tight, especially with surface shipping to several cities. Express production is available only on selected items, so ask us early rather than counting on it. If kits are going to more than one office or to remote employees, share the address list at quote stage so we can plan dispatch.

Ready to start? Upload your logo in Mockup Studio to preview it on a hoodie, browse the full apparel and headwear range, or request a quote with your quantities, size split and event date. We'll confirm the mockup, the timeline and the tier discount.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for custom hoodies with logo?

Our bulk discounts start at 25 pieces and step up at 50, 100 and 200+. If you need a smaller quantity, contact us and we'll confirm what's possible. Minimums on premium-brand items can differ, so check them at quote stage.

Can I get embroidered hoodies?

Embroidery isn't available at the moment. We brand hoodies, sweatshirts and caps with DTF printing, which reproduces full-colour logos, gradients and fine detail cleanly on both dark and light fabric. You'll see exactly how it looks in the digital mockup before production.

Can I put my company logo on the Rare Rabbit hoodie?

Yes. The Rare Rabbit Premium Cotton Hoodie is in our catalogue with DTF logo branding. Expect a smaller, chest-led print area than on our house-label hoodie. We'll confirm placement, colours, sizes and fabric details for your batch.

How long will a DTF print last on a hoodie?

It depends largely on washing habits, so we don't promise a fixed number of washes. Washing inside out in cold water, skipping bleach and not ironing directly on the print all help. Ask us for care guidance you can include in the kit.
